Deployment process
This page is the deployment hub for installing Apporto NextGen in an on-premises environment. Use it to understand the end-to-end sequence, open the detailed child pages for each task, and verify that deployment is complete before moving on to administration.
Before you begin: Confirm that the on-premises environment, network, DNS, certificates, hypervisor access, and administrator account are ready. Keep the Apporto control plane available throughout deployment.
Deployment steps
Access the control plane. Sign in with the initial administrator account, open Setup, and select the On-Prem Clusters tab. If you need sign-in guidance, see Accessing Apporto NextGen.
Run the on-premises cluster installation wizard. Use the guided wizard in the control plane to start the cluster deployment, capture environment details, and generate the values needed by the on-premises tools. See Running the on-prem cluster install wizard.
Prepare the hypervisor and install the Apporto VM. Deploy and configure the Apporto VM on the supported hypervisor, then confirm that the VM can reach the required network resources. See Nutanix Prism configuration, VMware vSphere configuration, and Proxmox Virtual Environment configuration.
Configure the load balancer or HAProxy. Route required traffic to the on-premises cluster and validate that inbound and outbound connectivity meets the deployment requirements. See HAProxy On‑Prem Setup and Configuration Guide .
Register the cluster with the control plane. Use the on-premises cluster management tool included in the Apporto VM to detect nodes, complete registration, and confirm that the control plane can see the cluster. See System updates.
Open a support tunnel if troubleshooting is required. Use the support tunnel only when Apporto Support needs temporary access to diagnose cluster connection or registration issues. See Setting up the support tunnel.

Expected outcome
Deployment is complete when the on-premises cluster is registered, healthy, and visible in the Apporto control plane. The Apporto VM is running, required routes and certificates are in place, the load balancer or secure gateway passes health checks, and no unresolved deployment errors remain in the cluster management tool.
